Top Ten Benefits of Healthy Almond Milk




If you love almond milk, you already know how great it taste.  I’ve been drinking this wonderful milk for only a short time, but Wow I have been missing out on a delicious and healthy treat.  This  nutritious drink  has become a new best friend, and one I plan to keep around a very long time.

My choice in almond milk is unsweetened and contains  5 grams of protein. 


I use the unsweetened version of almond milk so I can add my sweetener of choice.  The carbs are low, 1 gram to 8 ounces.  Anyone with a sugar problem should give almond milk a try.  It is a natural for carb watchers who want good nutrition.


To sweetened almond milk, I add stevia, a natural sweetener that I prefer over other kinds of sweeteners, and I also add a bit of vanilla extract and a sprinkle of cinnamon in the glass.  One can purchase vanilla flavored almond milk , if you prefer.


For a morning pick-me-up or a nightime drink to squell my “I gotta have something to eat” head dialogue, I turn to my spiced  almond milk.  It chills the gut craving hunger pains and taste oh, so great!

Is an excellent source of calcium

Is a good source of potassium, vitamins D and E

It is glueten, cholesterol free

Unlike soy milk, which can be higher in sugar, unsweetened almond milk is low carb.

Since it is non-dairy, it does not contain milk hormones.

Almond milk is an excellent choice for those who are lactose  intolerant.

It is rich in flavonoids, which are heart healthy.

I like to mix vanilla almond (I know it isn’t the plain almond milk) mix with dried peaches.  Blend until smooth.  Enjoy!
